The original FDLM was built in Lisbon in 1502 weighed 400 tons it was the best ship in its time in the west but had its downfall, the huge ship was difficult to be piloted & had to go for repairs in Mozambique due to strong current. After going thru many times of repair it lastly joins Portugal 8th Armada in the cause of conquest under Afonso de Albuquerque’s. The FDLM supported the conquest of Goa in 1510 & Malacca in 1511.
